Brief Answer:
Possible bursitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear User ! Thank you for using HCM.
I have gone through your question and i understand your concern .

Looks like you had and acute injury while you knelt down . Don't worry your knee will recover within some days .
According to your symptoms it could be a Buristis ( inflamation of the bursa ) .
Bursa is a small sack of fluid with a the thin lining that is near the knee ( between the skin and tendons or tendons and bones ) .We have more than one bursa in our knee. When is inflammation inside the bursa , the amount of fluid increase (bursa is swollen and painful ).
When you band the inflamated bursa gets worse .

The treatment in this case consist of:
- resting the knee , avoid kneeling ,bending and other movement that makes the pain worse .
- use warm compreses.
-Take Anti-inflammator (painkillers )drug -(Ibuprofen) to reduce the pain and the inflammation
If you have fever ( high temperature ) , and the pain(tender ) gets worse ,you should go to a local doctor to do a full physical examination of your knee ( to see the movement ) to rule out any ligament problems .

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any further clarifications please feel free to write me , I will be happy to help .
Take Care !
