Suggest Treatment For Tight Feeling In Mouth After Crown Placement On Teeth
high points in crown, tooth infection, medication.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
As far as the pain in the crowned teeth can be because of the high points(excess crown structure) over the crown. So this can be corrected by grinding the crown and reducing i to normal. This takes a week time to settle down.
The other possible cause for pain can be an infection in the root tip(if the tooth is not root canal treated), so you need to get a radiograph to confirm the diagnosis. If the tooth is infected and root canal treatment has not been done, then it has to be root canal treated and then crown has to be placed.
Regarding the joined crowns, this decision varies from dentist to dentist. If i am your treating doctor, i would suggested you to go for individual crowns, because, if one crown has problem and needs to be removed, then both the crowns has to be removed and repeated. The pain is not because of the joined crowns.
You can continue the medicines for 3 days and stop it and observe it for a week, if the pain persists then consult your dentist and get the crown corrected.
I hope I have answered your query. If any queries are there, reply me back. take care.
high points, reduction.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feed back.
The possible cause for pain soon after placing the permanent crown is because of high point in the crown. So get the high points corrected and observe for a week. If the pain still persists, then get the vitality test for the same tooth. If the tooth is non vital, then get the tooth root canal treated. If the tooth is vital, then the pain should subside by the reduction of the high points.
I suggested root canal treatment if there is infection in the tooth. This infection can get aggravated anytime. So it might have aggravated soon after placement of the permanent crown.
So consult your dentist and get it evaluated.
I hope i have answered your query. Take care and Regards
