Brief Answer:
Traumatic ulcer, gum infection, medication , scaling

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the pain in the mouth near the lower lip region is concerned, I have two possibilities.
It can be because of the ulcer secondary to trauma by lip biting.
The other possible cause can be a gum infection secondary to deposits.
Nothing to be panic, consult a good oral physician and get it evaluated. If it is a traumatic ulcer, you can use topical analgesic like choline salicylate and topical anesthetic like lignocaine.
If it is a gum infection, then you need to get the teeth cleaned. For the pain and gum infection, you can take a course of antibiotics like doxycycline (if you are not allergic) and pain killers like ibuprofen.
Do saline gargling.
These are the possible causes, diagnosis and treatment plan based on the description of the problem by yourself.
If you can upload the images of the area where you have pain, I can give you exact diagnosis and treatment plan.
I hope I have answered your query. If any queries are there reply me back. Take care.

I dont think it would be a gum infection because i go to the dentist every 6 months and brush daily and i had been using listerine. I gargles with peroxide yesterday and now its not hurting as much today so maybe they were ulcers. Thankyou for your help, if its not gone by tomorrow i will go see a doctor
