Question: I am on Rapaflo 8mg 1X day, just started to use 500 mg of Metformin 2 X day. My glucose # has not come down. Is this due to the excess urination caused by Rapaflo?

Brief Answer:
Metformin may not be enough

Detailed Answer:
Good day
Noted your concern. Rapaflo will be useful in prostate enlargement and makes urination easier but it doesn't increase volume of urine.

If you have high blood sugar, that itself will cause excess urination. I would like to know your blood sugar levels and Hba1c so that I can assess if you need any other medicines other than metformin.

Please let me know your blood sugar levels and HbA1c value

Binu
