Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Pain And Itching After Intercourse
Question: Hi I was hoping to get an answer. I just recently had sex and during i had bleed a little. I don't have any other symptoms such as pain, itching or discharge. My last period was a week ago.. is this something I need to be worried about and need to be seen or ?

There are several reasons for this bleeding after sex (post coital bleeding).
1.Abrasion on vaginal skin due to rough sex-This seems to be the most likely cause
2.lesions on cervix like erosion or polyp-This is the second possible cause.
3. Ovulation bleeding. It could just be ovulation bleeding since this is your ovulation period
4.Infection is not the cause in your case as you do not have other symptoms like, discharge, soreness, itching etc
5.Rarely it can be due to some serious precancerous conditions on cervix which can be treated. Have you been regular with your pap tests?
So it is extremely important that you make an appointment with your doctor for internal examination and pap test (if it is due). This will help in detecting the cause.
