Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Weight loss can be difficult. It can be achieved by altering the diet and level of activity but change in diet would produce the most changes.
There are different diet options available but the main ones are: (1)low fat/low calorie diet- increased used of fruits and vegetables with each meal,
using diet drinks and water instead of high calorie foods,
using low fat options for cheese/milk/butter, using grilling and baking instead of fried foods
and (2) low carbohydrate diet.- using water and diet drinks,
significantly cutting down on bread/biscuits/pasta/rice/potatoes/sweet potatoes/ high carb vegetables and fruits,
using salads and low carb vegetable with protein (either meat or plant if you are vegetarian)
You can choose the one that you are more comfortable with. There tends to be faster initial weight loss with the low carb diet and some studies have shown that the weight loss is sustained for longer.
After you lose it the key would be to keep it off. You would need to consider weighing once or twice a week after you have reached your goal and set yourself a range of weight that would be acceptable to you (for example 220-230) , if you see your self going above your range, you would restart the diet.
This way it never goes back up too high.
Sometimes trying to lose weight with the help of a weight loss doctor, nutritionist or weight loss group is helpful
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
