Brief Answer:
Asthma vs. Bronchitis

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

Your daughter who is almost 3 has had a cold for 1 week and is now wheezing. This indicates that her cold has progressed to either bronchitis or asthma. I think this is a significant change and she should be seen. If there are any urgent care places or an ER near you that is where I would take her tonight. If she is not having any breathing problems you can place her in the bathroom with steam this may help break the asthma and wheezing. Also adding a cough syrup will reduce the cough also.

In summary
1. Give cough syrup for cough
2. Steam bath to open her lungs
3. If worsens then needs to be seen tonight in ER or Urgent care center.
