Brief Answer:
Weightloss is a process, here is how to approach it...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.

I am glad you want to control your weight. It's actually a very simple process to follow in theory.. but certainly difficult in practice.

A good well balanced low calorie diet is your first step. One that cuts out the unnecessary snacking and eating (restaurant food is designed to be tasty, not healthy). A Dietician can help you with that. Just ask them to make you a weight loss diet chart and they will help you.

As a rule of thumb in deciding what to eat, try to stick to foods that are LOW in Carbohydrates and Fat and High in Proteins and Fiber.

When it comes to deciding what type of food to have an when, be aware that your body is better at digesting and burning Carbohydrates in the mornings while proteins are good any time of the day. So if you are going to have very sugary or high carb foods, then the mornings are better overall.

When it comes to trying to decide HOW MANY calories to eat every day. Try and use this equation

[11 * (current weight in KGs)] * 1.2

In your case that would be 11 * 114 = 1254 * 1.2 = 1505.

Most phyiscally active people consume about 2000 calories or more, but try and keep to 1500. At first you may not be able to, but over time, your body will get used to it. And remember, it's a GOAL, of you don't meet that goal today, you just try again tomorrow, you don't have to make up for it.

The second thing is exercise. A combination of Cardio exercise and focused muscle building is important, but you should concentrate on Cardio at first.

Join a good gym or seek the help of a physical therapist and you will have the help you need to make an exercise plan that you can stick to.

The key is to make a schedule that you can STICK to in the long run.

Now if these things are not helping you lose weight after 3-4 months of really trying.. Then we need to get some blood tests done to check your thyroid and other hormone levels.

Hope this helps.
