Suggest Ways To Postpone Menstruation

default
Posted on Thu, 26 Nov 2015
Question: Hi,
We have a family function and XXXXXXX at home, and I may need to either prepone / postpone my periods for the same. My last period date is 21-Oct-2015 and usually my cycle is 24 or 26 days. But some times, it also comes in 22 days and sometimes in 28 days as well.
Even though I am assuming that it should be completed by 21st of this month, I just wanted to check if I should take any medicine to assure that it comes as expected. If this is not possible, then please advise if I should take a medicine to postpone the same.

Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for the response.
I want the periods to start either by 17-Nov, or after 25-Nov. (need to avoid them between 21-25 of Nov)
Based on the trend of my cycles, though I assume that it should start by 17-Nov, I just wanted to assure the same.

Thank you

Brief Answer:
You can prepone

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is better to prepone the cycles.

To my patients I give tablet meprate 10 mg twice daily for 5 days. You can try the same starting today.

You will get periods with 5 days of stopping these tablets.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards

Hello doctor,
Thanks much for the advise. Had a couple of queries:
Would it assure my periods as expected?
Would there be any side affects?
Any diet / other restrictions to be followed?

Please suggest.
