What Are The Benefits Of Artificial Disc Replacement Over ACDF Surgery?

Question: Hello my name is XXXX, I currently live in XXXX, I have been diagnosed with one Major disc herniation at Level C6-C7 and a minor disc herniation at level C5-C6, plus congenital stenosis of the spinal canal between C6-C4. My current Montreal area surge4on is suggesting ACDF surgery. That type of surgery really scares me. What are the benefits of Artificial Disc replacement over ACDF Surgery. What is the healing time after each of the type of surgery, and compared to ACDF what to expect after surgery such as reduction in flexibility, reduction of mobility of the area around where the surgery is done. Lastly if I do computer assisted spinal decompression as done by chiropractors, when someone has stenosis at the same level as Disc herniations is it easier to re herniate a disc. thanks for using healthcare magic. ACDF is better than disc replacement as chances of recurrence is less. There is some amount of restricted mobility in ACDF but with disc replacement also that can occur. Computer assisted surgery is not at all useful. So I would not recommend you that.
Before I advise you any further I would like to know whether you need any surgery or not. Please send me answers of these questions.
