Question: Hi Doctor,
I want to know can we drink green coffee beans instead of regular coffee beans? what is the benefits of green coffee beans? does it really helps in loosing weight? I am not asking about green coffee bean extracts rather i am asking about the unroasted coffee beans which is green in colour. i have bought the green coffee beans and has started drinking it since 1 week but havent seen any changes within myself.

I have gone through your query.Green coffee beans is considered beneficial as it contain a chemical chlorogenic acid which is usually reduced in roasting process.It has effects on blood vessels that reduce Blood pressure. It also helps in weight loss by interfering in metabolism and the way body handle glucose. But it is not proven clinically yet.
It should be taken long term (At least for 12 weeks) to get such benefits.You should also take 2 to 3 servings per day to get that. But I also suggest you along with you have to do physical exercises and diet maintain to reduce weight. I would not recommend coffee beans alone to reduce weight.
