What Are The Dos And Don'ts During Pregnancy?
My wife supposed to get periods on Aug 1st but still didn't occur and when we tested pregnancy it is showing positive. We consulted doctor and doctor said do scan after 16 days. i.e on Aug 16.
4 years back we had a baby boy. This will be 2nd pregnancy. She got Thyroid during 1st pregnancy. After that she has been using thyroxin every day as per doctor advice. 2 months back we tested and TSH was normal with 3.5 value.
Below are few doubts
1) At home she is doing cooking and taking care of 1st kid like sending school preparing food. As part of that she has to bend down many times. Will this be okay ?
2) when ever 1st kid need to be feeded or taken care, She is sitting on floor . will this be okay?
3) Mine is duplex house. Is it okay if she climb steps 2-3 times in a day. Will this be okay?
4) occasionally while doing house work she is getting white discharge with no itching. Will this okay?
Please let us know any precautions or diet to follow to have healthy baby.
Thanks a lot.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. I will answer your queries as you asked.
1. Bending down is allowed in pregnancy, provided it should not be done very abruptly.
2.Sitting on the floor is not prohibited in pregnancy and is completely allowed.
3. Climbing stairs should be restricted to 1-2 times a day, and that too very slowly.
4.White discharge without itching is normal in pregnancy, due to the effect of progesterone hormone on the cervix and vagina.
Precautions are to avoid heavy and strenuous work and avoid lifting heavy things.
A diet high in proteins should be taken which should include milk and milk products, pulses, sprouts, peanuts, eggs and meat ( if applicable).
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you both good health.
