Even if you have injected air, not to worry. It is a small amount of air and since it is injected under the skin, it will be absorbed. However, if you have injected less insulin, your blood glucose may rise and if you have injected excess insulin, your blood glucose levels may fall too much. Hence it is better to check blood sugars ar 4th hourly intervals today, just to be on the safer side.. Lantus last only for 24 hours
