What Are The Side Effects Of Cerazette?
Question: Hi! Last saturday I took a morning-after pill after the condom broke. I then went to the doctor who gave me a perscription for the birth control Cerazette, which I was supposed to start on the first day of my next period. But then I started bleeding mid-cycle yesterday, and it continued today as a normal period. I was not supposed to get my period for another 2.5 weeks. I'm wondering whether or not I can start taking the Cerazette now, or if it's a bad idea in case this bleeding is just an effect of the morning-after pill?
Brief Answer:
Start taking Cerazette
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..
I understand your concern..
Yes, this bleeding can be a withdrawal bleeding following intake of morning after pill.. But since you had bleeding like normal periods, cerazette can be taken as directed by your doctor for contraception.. It will provide contraception from this cycle itseif..
Some times you will have irregular cycles following intake of the morning after pill which will normalise in 1 month..
Hope i have answered your query.. feel free to ask any doubts.. good day..
