I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. There is NO documented adverse effect of Gleevec (imatinib) on one's alertness and/or memory. Every Human body varies from one another. There are chances that one drug does not cause some effect on one body but may cause effect on other body. Similar case is here. There are no documented effects of effect on mental alertness or memory but if some is taking Gleevec (imatinib) and gets such symptoms AND all other pathological causes are ruled out then its quite possible that imantinib has caused the symptoms.
