Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Heart failure means that the heart is not able to meet the demands of the body.
Blood from the body goes into the right side of the heart. This blood then goes to the lungs to get oxygen.
It is then transported to the left side of the heart and pumped to the body.
A person may have failure of the right side of the heart, failure of the left side of the heart or failure of both sides.
When the heart is not working well, fluid builds up in different areas of the body including the lungs. This may be what was seen when the lungs were scanned- fluid build up
This would normally present with shortness of breath, difficulty laying down flat.
Other symptoms of heart failure include weakness, fatigue, palpitations, fluid in the abdomen, fluid/swelling of the legs, weight loss, loss of appetite, nausea, enlarged liver.
If your GP can request tests such as an echo , then you can go to see him/her. An echo would look at how the heart is working and also identify if there are any areas that are abnormal in size
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
