Deficiency of vitamin C in diet can cause Scurvy.
Symptoms of Scurvy are:-
Lethargy, malaise, rough skin, myalgia, gum disease, easy bruising, delayed healing, dryness in eyes etc.
In late stage edema, jaundice and neuropathies can occur.
Prevention:-
Scurvy can be prevented by eating foods containing vitamin C such as lemons, oranges etc.
Treatment:-
It can be treated by giving vitamin C tablet.
