Brief Answer:
Alone, it suggests inflammation in the body. Not specific to heart disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query. I have seen the uploaded report.

I am so sorry to hear about this elevated hsCRP value that you have reported. This in itself is not indicative or conclusive of any specific disease condition. This is a general marker for inflammation and can be positive in several patients with any disease condition that involves inflammation like arthritis, digestive, rheumatoid arthritis, auto-immune disease, etc. I know your concern is mainly about cardiovascular disease. This test says nothing specific in that light. However, it would be a great opportunity to also get evaluated for other cardiovascular risk factors which include complete lipid profile. You should also adopt a healthy lifestyle which consist in eating healthy, regular exercises lasting 40 minutes on most days of the week, no smoking and alcohol consumption at minimal levels.

In all, CRP alone is not indicative of any specific disease condition Being concerned about cardiovascular disease, I will suggest you get a comprehensive evaluation and management of cardiovascular risk factors.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
