What Causes CBC Test Result Indicate?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Anisocytosis - result says "slight"
White blood count - 3.6
Schistocytes - "few"
Toxic Granulation - "few"
I'm aware of what needs to be done for the TSH but as far as the CBC results, Is this anything that needs attention?
not necessarily
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
The finding on your CBC are very minor irregularities. You WBC is only slightly low and the anisocytosis, schistocytes and toxic granulations can come from many causes even an improperly handled blood sample. I would not worry about it but would ask your doctor to repeat the CBC in a few weeks and make sure that everything is back to normal.
Schistocytes may occur when blood cells are being destroyed for some reason. Anisocytes mean that cells are of different sizes as may occur in some anemias. Toxic granulations may occur in some inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis.
However, with the slight finding on your CBC I think these are unlikely and I suspect your next CBC will be normal.
Best just to get it checked out

Dr. Robinson
