I have gone to my doctor and he said it was migraines and gave me very strong medicine i had to stop taking. The heat does not last long but it comes and goes. I sometimes also feel neck pain as it started the day after I slept in an awkward position. Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX ,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
1. The heating sensation you feel on the back of your head going to the front could be due to migraines. As you are a runner spondyloarthrosis of the neck and tension headache are to consider taking into account your age too. They are not serious and can be managed by taking oral pain killers and applying heating pads locally to the neck.
2. However, if I was your caring doctor would advise to measure your blood pressure to rule out respective spikes or drops.
An Xray of neck is advised to check for changes in vertebral spine of neck area.
All the best!

Following mechanism of headache caused by low blood pressure....
Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXXXX
When blood pressure is not within normal range, less oxygenated blood is flowing inside the brain. This will cause headache together with dizziness.
Blood pressure varies within normal range in different individuals. Yours might be low but not far from normal low range. However, it is easy to get very low blood pressure at the point to cause headache especially if you do not drink enough fluids (get dehydrated) or skip your meals.
Hope it answered to your query! Let me know if you have other questions!
