What Causes A Red Burn Scar On The Face After Using Dettol?

Question: Hello,
I burnt a small patch of skin on my face treating a pimple with dettol, what should I apply on it? Is aloe vera ok?

Hello, thanks for writing to healthcare magic.I can understand your concern.

In my opinion, it can be irritant dermatitis due to dettol.

Applying aloe Vera will cause more irritation.

You can apply antibiotic cream like fucidic acid over affected area two to three times till it heals. Wash with cold water and avoid contact with soap.

This will probably recover your skin,however in case of any concern feel free to ask.

Hi,

It's not dermatitis, it's proper burns, my skin has turned brown and there is a scab as well.
It still stings a lot.

If there is a scab then apply antibiotic cream only.Scab will dry and fall off in a week or so and lesion will heal.
