Brief Answer:
For how long has this been going on?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this lump that you have reported. If this lump is visible to the naked eyes and can be captured on a photo, I will suggest you get one and sent to me for review and more insights.

If this lump comes and disappears with different activities, it could be suggestive of an epigastric hernia. This happens when part of the intestines at this level are able to move outside the containing sheath. This would lead to the lump increasing in size after meals, during defecation, etc. If this be the case, then you would need an examination to confirm this.

In all, an image would be very informative if possible. If this lump changes in size depending on activities, it would be most suggestive of hernia.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
