
What Causes A Soft Spot On The Head Of An Infant?

Question: I have a three month old baby my mom noticed his soft part felt more in then usual I was wonder if this was a big concern I hear it could be because of dehydration but his wet pampers are the same

I assume you are referring to his genital when you used the term soft part. If the following criteria are fulfilled it is unlikely to be dehydration
1. Urine output is adequate
2. Oral mucosa is moist and wet
3. On pinching the skin of forearm between thumb and index finger and releasing it, it immediately goes back to normal
