What Causes Abdominal Bloating, Acid Reflux And Rapid Heart Rate?
Question: Over the past two months about 1 1/2 hour after eating I get a lot of gas and then rapid heart rate, sometimes accompanied by bloating. I have been placed on a heart monitor since Sept. 19 to Oct. 19. Last event was so bad it really frightened me. Call to md advised I be on liquid diet til consult with gastro. specialist. Would write more but don't want to fill this up.

Being on a liquid diet was the sensible next step, however I recommend you see a gastroenterologist for an ultrasound and possibly a colonoscopy.
Increased gas and bloating can be due to many factors, but mostly due to diet and intake of certain vegetables such as sprouts and broccoli and pulses such as beans and lentils. Increased physical activity, especially fast paced walking can make a huge improvement to this problems.
Anyway, the gastroenterologist will be able to determine the cause for this condition and offer a more permanent treatment. Let me know if you have further questions.
