So possibility is less likely that it is due to anxiety attack otherwise librium would have shown some improvement.

Better to take over the counter pain killer like tylenol, diclofenac or ibuprofen with some food.

And even after pain does not go away , please consult doctor.

I prefer klonopin, ativan and librium in that order for anxiety in my patients. I agree that ativan is better than librium for anxiety form clinical point of view. However both are benzodiazepine and same effects more or less. Librium is somewhat longer acting but somewhat less potent than ativan.

Only your doctor can tell specifically why medicine was changed. Otherwise librium is also good medicine for anti-anxiety. Choice of medicine depends on type and frequency of panic attacks, choice of doctor and patient.
