What Causes Black Dot On Skin?
Question: This black dot appeared on my skin and I don't know how it got there, I don't know if it is a mole or not. Can you help me identify what it is?
Brief Answer:
Excision biopsy
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
Grossly from clinical examination it looks like acquired melanocytic nevus or common mole.
For confirmed diagnosis, an excision biopsy can be performed.
Usually, I would not advise any active treatment but if the apprehension regarding malignancy is too bothering then excision biopsy but serve as both diagnostic and therapeutic measure.
Hope you got my point here.
let me know if you need any more assistance from my side.
Thanks
