What Causes Bleeding From The Gums?

Question: Whenever I massage my gums, like after brushing or waking up, I see blood along with spit. This started a couple of week ago, but i thought maybe I hurt myself or something. But after two weeks I am not sure what has happened?

As per your complain it seems that bleeding from the gums after massaging that started a couple of weeks ago.
Also you have a root canal and temporary filling in two molars..

Well, as per your age bleeding seems most probably be due to gum infection leading to inflammation of the gums also known as Marginal Gingivitis..

Please answer the following questions so that I can guide you better:

1.Do you smoke or have any tobacco chewing habit?
2. Is there any pain or swelling in the gums?
3. Do you notice any particular spot that bleeds or you just notice blood in spit?

Here are my answers to your questions.

1. I don't smoke. I smoke like once a month al XXXXXXX
2. I don't have any pain. Neither any swelling that I could notice.
3. I just notice the blood in spit, by the time i look into the mirror, I don't see any particular spot.

Welcome Back..

A per your answers, it seems like a mild gum inflammation caused due to gum infection..

-You should first of all start brushing your teeth with a soft toothbrush.
-Start gargling twice a day with antiseptic mouthwash.
-Massage your gums by applying an antiseptic oral paste..
-Do warm saline gargles..
-Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily for 15 days as it helps in strengthening the gums..

In case if still the bleeding does not resolve in 15 days consult a Dentist and get Scaling done..
