What Causes Blood Filled Bump On Penis?
Question: I recently have had what seems to be a blood filled bump appear on my penis. It is towards the bottom of the shaft and is slightly smaller than a tic tac. It is circular and raised so it is quite noticeable. I have popped it and all that came out was blood, no pus. It was quite difficult to pop actually. This is also the second time this bump has appeared and in the exact same place I might add. I don't think it is herpes, as it is alone and not in any sort of cluster. I would like to know if it is something serious and regardless of whether it is or not, how to get rid of it.
I have looked around and from what I have gathered online, it doesn't appear to be an STD. However I would like the opinion of someone who know what they are talking about.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Seems to be a small boil.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow-up query.
This bumps seem to be small boil from the pictures.
It doesn't look to be a herpes or any other STDs that I know off. So no need to worry.
You can apply antiseptic cream available over the counter twice daily.
If there is pain or burning or itching then you can take pain killers and antihistamines as and when required basis. Else it doesn't need treatment.
Mostly, this boils are due to bacterial infection (commonly staphylococci) and may get subsided by appropriate antibiotics topically or orally.
I expect that it will get subsided within 2 to 3 days of topical antiseptic. If it doesn't visit a doctor for oral medications.
Hope this will help you and if any query then feel free to ask me.
