Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
As I understand it, your have had stool mixed with thin, bright red blood?
If I have understood it right...
Tomatoes do not cause blood in the stool, but you may notice the thin red cover of the tomato the stool. It should be very clear though, that it is not blood and it is a tomato.
One cause of thin blood in the stool are hemorrhoids. You should feel pain while you have a bowel movement, or if you touch the area around the anus, you will notice a painful bump. Let me know if this is the case.
Also, one important examination that I will recommend if you haven't done it already it is the colonoscopy, that every person over 50 years old should do.
The BPH it is not related with blood in the stool.
Let me know the information needed, and I will be happy to advise according to the case.
Hope this is helpful. Looking forward to your follow-up question.

the blood isnt in the stools its after
Consider doing a urine analyse and assessing the hemorrhoids to a doctor

Hello dear,
Thank you for the follow-up question.
The blood in the stool after it, it is for sure because of the piles. And I agree with your doctor that you should drink plenty of fluids and eat a diet rich in fibers (fruits and vegetables).
Sometimes this is not enough. Thats why you need to visit doctor who can examine you and does anoscopy and check the piles closely. They may heal by using a cream which will help them shrink or they may need surgery, but only a physical examination can determine that.
Also, about your nocturia, I would recommend doing a urine analyse and check if the infection has been cleared completely, especially if the nocturia is getting worse. Of course if you would do an ultrasound to check how the BPH is progressing.
I hope I helped a bit.
Take care,
