What Causes Body Aches, Fever And Fatigue At Night?
Brief Answer:
could be a common viral infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
you haven't mentioned many details about your illness, so I can't give a complete answer. If you'd like to provide more details, I'll be glad to make more comments.
Having a low grade fever without significant symptoms is usually caused by mild viral infections. They're usually self-limited and may last for a few days.
Useful information would include:
- other symptoms like cough, urinary tract symptoms, diarrhea, etc
- when did the fever start
- your medical history (if you're taking any drugs, etc)
- if you've seen any doctor or done any tests.
Kind Regards!

persistant cough with green mucus (I'm sure viral ?), fever at night started 3 days ago as did the body aches. The only medications I am currently taking are celexa and singulair as well as a daily probiotic and advil as needed. Just had my annual exam, all seems good. No I have not seen another doctor or done any other tests.
Brief Answer:
sounds like the flu
Detailed Answer:
Your case sounds like influenza or a similar viral infection. Cough and fever though require assessment to exclude more serious conditions like pneumonia. You'd better visit your doctor for clinical examination. The next best thing is to wait for a couple of days to see how it goes. If it's indeed a more severe infection then you would experience worsening and perhaps more symptoms like shortness of breath or higher fever, etc
So in conclusion, the best thing you can do is to visit your doctor for assessment but if you'd like to follow the more risky - but not unreasonable - path you should remain vigilant for symptoms like:
- shortness of breath
- pleuritic pain (pain during inspiration and/or expiration)
- high fever with rigor (rattling teeth, serious trembling when the fever goes up, etc)
- faintness
- any other "new" symptom.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
