Question: What causes breathlessness in an elderly person while on Ramipril? Hes 74 i mean . He has had it for 5 years was not advanced then so gave medications and also had bypass surgery for blocked arteries.
Was on ramapril asprin and bisoprol. But as had sudden breathlesness- did a hear scan and said heart failure stage 4.
His ejection fraction is 15. And fluid retention
Will the meds work.? They have given more z
Also how can he b stage 4 with minimal symptoms ?

What is survival like for this stage?
Also they saying stage 4 but he has no sumptoms at rest. He had fluid retention which is now gone and has breathlesness sometimes upon activity.
