What Causes Bubbles In Urine?
I took a supplement called d-manose after which it started (before I had smelly foggy urine, I hoped to clean my bladder with that supplement) before this I was taking Nexium for about a year.
My foamy urine has been tested several times at the doctor's office and it was always clean. The only thing I could find from looking on the internet for causes if it is not protein related is that air comes into the bladder from the colon.
When I asked my new GP he just said nothing to worry about. Please advise
Foamy urine without any symptoms has no significance at all .
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have noticed your urine to be foamy since few months .
Passing a foamy urine is most;y due to one of the following few factors
1) Concentrated Urine due to dehydration resulting from low water intake
2) Presence of protein in urine mostly due to kidney paranchymal disease
3) Large volume of urine passed with force and hitting against the wall of the toilet.
Since your routine urine analysis has revealed to be normal and absence of any urinary symptoms and proteins in urine it has no significance at all.
As regards your doubt about air coming from colon it will happen only in a very serious conditions when an abnormal communication( Fistula) is established between colon and bladder like in advanced cancer of colon or traumatic injury to colon which happens in serious road traffic accidents . .
Do not worry it is normal and do not stretch your anxiety as long as you do not have any serious urinary issues .
Drink adequate water and eat less proteins especially animal proteins.
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

.
My blood count is not good either as the leukocytes and thrombocytes are below normal, as I mentioned I took Nexium for a long time which could cause that, from my own research...There is some anxiety that I do have a more serious issue. while I am already considering getting surgery for my LPR symptoms so it would be good to rule anything other serious out somehow.
best regards,

a little far fetched to imply I might have colon cancer!
