What Causes Bumps Inside Throat And At Back Of Tongue?

Question: Hi, from last 1 week. I have bumps in my throat and at the very back of tongue . And there is white patches on the tonsils too.physician had prescribed azithromycin. Its been 6 days taking medicine, but no relief. What this could be? Please advise .
Brief Answer:
follicular tonsillitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having infection of your tonsils causing bumps in the throat with pus filled follicles over the tonsils.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 3 to 5 days. Betadine gargling twice daily will help.
Avoid oily and cold items. All these are prescription medicines, so it's better to consult with the doctor and get treated.
. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
