Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description, you could be having herpes zoster.
It is treated with oral acyclovir or valaciclovir along with oral and topical antibiotics. To control pain a pain killer like NSAIDs, pregablin, gabapentin, amytryptalline etc has to be added.
As all these are prescription drugs, please consult your physician or dermatologist.
Hope this helped.

Its not herpes zoster...what would the best explanation be besides herpes zoster?
Brief Answer:
details below
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
The other differentials could be insect bite/blister beetle dermatitis, contact irritant dermatitis or furuncles. The clinical description sounds quite like herpes zoster.
I would be able to suggest most probable diagonosis, if you could attach an image of your skin lesion. You may upload it by clicking on upload report/image icon which is on right side of query page.
