What Causes Cloudy Urine?
Question: What are some causes for cloudy urine that are NOT uti or kidney. Can it be diet?

As an Urologist, i must convey to you that, there're several causes for cloudy urine. Yes diet play possible rule in cloudy urine. Cloudy urine is generally alkaline happens with vitamins excreted through urine. excess vitamins by diet is rare.
There are other reasons for cloudy urine.
1.Drug induced.
2 Dehydration.
3.Dietary factors.
4.Other than kidney infections, there can be kidney tumors, cysts,stones,etc, causing cloudy urine.

Thanks. Can hormones affect it I notice it more during PMS
