Brief Answer:
Proper diagnosis is important, you need clinical exam. Motrin will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms XXXXXXX

I apologize for the delay in answering your query.

Based on your description, it appears to be due to a muscle pull, but I can not be certain of that.

Do you see any swelling as you stand, and does that swelling subside on lying down?

Do you have any lump that you can feel?

If there is a swelling or lump, can you move it, or does it reduce on pressing?

Do you have inflammation or sore in the legs?

If you can answer these questions and if you can upload a picture of the site where you have pain, I might get somewhat better picture of what is going on.

For the time being, I suggest you apply ice and hot compress to the area alternatively.

Sit down often at work.

For the pain, you can take Motrin 400 milligrams, thrice a day (if the pain is worse, you take another 400 mg in between)

You need rest, and proper medical care, so please inform your reporting manager that you are in pain and consult your doctor.

I sincerely hope this information will be of some use to you and I regret not being able to answer your query earlier.

Wishing you speedy recovery.

Best regards
