What Causes Dark Brown Color Spots On Penis?
Question: I have dark brown color spots on my penis for the lat two months. Some time I wake up in the morning and notice they have turned white. After I shower they turn to dark purple or brown. I have itching too. What could it be and should I get tested? I went to a massage place in Toronto and had oral sex couple months ago.

I would consider the possibility of genital Lichen Planus.
Lichen planus is a type of allergy which could occur anywhere on the body including genitalia. It could also involve the oral mucosa like the buccal mucosa.
It is not sexually transmitted.
You could apply a cream containing 1% Hydrocortisone twice a day for 2 weeks. However, lichen planus tends to recur. You may need to follow up with a dermatologist. Do not use hydrocortisone on a long term basis as it could cause steroid related side effects.
You do not need to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases due to this lesion. However, if you have had multiple high risk exposures, it is advisable that you do a screening test for HIV 1 and 2 and also VDRL (for syphilis).
