What Causes Decreased Appetite, Abdominal Gas, Obstructed Defecation And Low Energy Level?

Question: I am 30 years old male, 162 cm tall and weight 41 kg. My maximum weight never crossed 42 kg. I am having poor appetite, gas, incomplete bowel evacuation and low energy levels since almost 10 years.

Till 15 years ago (2001) : I was healthy and strong.
15 years back: I was under depression for about 2 years, during which my appetite went down and my health started deteriorating. I was diagnosed "Acute gastritis and duodenitis"
10 years back: I got Asthma during one winter. I had Asthma for about 5 about years (only during winter season). I don't have asthma problem now ( don't use any medicines), although I feel slight pressing sensation on chest.

I have taken general health check ups (blood tests etc) recently which show normal health.

I suppose my low weight is due to malnutrition. After these many years with low appetite, I might have developed vitamin and mineral deficiency. What would be the potential supplements I can take for improving my health condition.

Brief Answer:
Relevant nutritional inputs provided.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

The malnutrition is possibly linked to underlying gastritis and duodenitis.

Since all your current health tests are within normal limits, a good diet should help you to gain weight.

The supplements I recommend are as follows.

1.Daily oatmeal for breakfast and dinner.

2.Soy milk and soybean products.

3.Eggs boiled 2 in no daily.

4.Fruits like apple and pomegranate once a day.

5.Daily calorie intake around 2800 kcal.

6.Water 2 to 3 liters a day.

7.Nutritional supplements like Protein X powder.

8.Vitamin and mineral supplements like Conviron forte and Becozinc. Please check with your physician if he can prescribe the same to you.

I also advise you to get a repeat upper Git endoscopy to assess the situation of gastroduodenitis.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
