Brief Answer:
Your child needs to be developmentally evaluated.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. A child should normally be able to stand on his own by 12 months of age (calculated from expected date of delivery) and should be able to walk soon after. Your child needs to be evaluated by a developmental pediatrician or a developmental therapist. He would be able to evaluate the child to check whether things are fine. A developmental therapist would also be able to demonstrate to you certain exercises that would help in attaining the milestones properly. Although the milestones are likely to be reached eventually, they would be reached faster with proper developmental interventions. Early detection and early intervention play a crucial role in preventing disabilities.

I would like to know at what age the child developed head steadiness as well as the age of sitting without support. Also mention your location so that I would be able to suggest if there is a suitable centre available near to your location.

I would wait for your response. Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
