What Causes Diarrehea In Child During Teething?
Question: Hi,
My son has entered in to 7 month,I have seen very small teeth coming in because of it i believe he is going frequent stools greenish color also he has got diaper rash.From past 2 days iam using tufpro liquid once every day.Can i use oflox 50,if so what is the dosage to be given and how many times?Also please suggest good rash free cream and suggestions to be taken while teething.Please advise asapAlso please mention what is the diet to be followed.Can i give tendercoconut,curd rice?Anything else can be given?

Hi,
The loose stools are not related to teething as usually attributed by general public.
It may be due to stating viral infection.
You have to give the milk ( hope breast milk) and oral dehydration fluids like electoral or electrobion as per instruction on the cover .
Give electral 1-2 oz after every lose stool.
Check whether baby is passing urine normally.
Oflox should not be given for loose stools as a routine.
It s a strong antibiotic and not good to use frequently.
Take the baby to to the nearest pediatrician.
7 months baby can be given few silos of tender coconut water now and then,curd rice may be too early still,
Wait for 2-3 days and give only breast milk only.
