Question: Hi I am in remission from lymphoma. A few months back I had both scopes done and all was clear. Over the last two months I've had quite loose bowel movements. The doctor send samples of my pooh for testing and all was clear. Could this be IBS? thanks Raymond

Brief Answer:
This is not a cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

When did you finish last chemotherapy?
As you have had colonoscopy done, you can forget about large intestine cancer. As you have had lymphoma, one more test should be done (abdominal CT) to rule out possible small intestine lymphoma recurrence (which is rather not the case).
Most probable reason of your symptoms are medicines indeed. Such loose stools can be caused by chemotherapy and be present long time after it. Lack of intestinal bacteria can also be the reason.
It would be good to start probiotic intake. If you have been taking antibiotics, Rifaximine treatment should be also considered.
IBS can be the case, but first, all other possibilities should be ruled out.

Hope this helps.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
You do not seem to have a cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Well, colonoscopy can check large intestine. Gastroscopy can check stomach and duodenum. So we are kind of missing small intestine. CT would be a good to see it.
Yes, there should be some other symptoms including weakness, weight loss, sweating, nausea, lack of appetite. I assume you don't have them, that is why I do not thing this is the case.
