default
Posted on Wed, 30 Aug 2017
Question: Yesterday when I was on a train trip, my right knee felt a bit tight" as I sat there. Last night I could not put full weight on it. It swelled last night. Today I cannot walk on it. I have applied ice pack wrapped in towel and taken 1 Advil about every six hours. Also, I got a mosquito item on left side of knee. What do you think?

Brief Answer:
Arthritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

You could be suffering from traumatic knee sprain or arthritis.

Keep the limb elevated. Apply warm packs. Take Tablet Acetaminophen 500mg twice a day for 5 days.

Avoid bending knee or walking on it if uncomfortable.

If the pain and swelling do not subside, get an Xray to look for arthritis.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
