I am on thyroid medication prescribed by my neurologist to help with my low energy level due to MS. I am insulin resistant and on Metformine due to POS and have never smoked. The pain down not go down to my hand just a dull ache at the back of my right shoulder blade. No pain or stiffness when I move.
Brief Answer:
it is due to cervical spondylitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for replying. I think your problem is cervical spondylitis. In this condition there is nerve compression in spine causing tingling and numbness in whole hand. Diabetes and Thyroid are also contributing. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Get MRI of the cervical spine to confirm the diagnosis. Also you should get your serum B12 done.
2.Tablet Lyrica one daily at night time will be helpful. If there is low B12 level then you should also take Methylcobal with this.
3.Make sure that your thyroid and blood sugar are with in normal limit.
4.Avoid using very high pillow or keeping neck in same position for long time.
I hope these steps will be helpful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
