Brief Answer:
needs time

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
It takes time for the blurry vision to go away once you get on the medications and get your sugars under control. It could even take a few months. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and exercising daily. Walking for 30-60 minutes daily would be very helpful to get your sugars down. You do not want to increase the medications too quickly if you are changing your diet. See your doctor again soon and let them advise you on medication changes.
You have made some great changes in your diet. It takes a while for the sugars to come down and being at 256 at this point is okay. You do not want them to come down too fast. Your body is used to high sugars and you might feel dizzy or weak if the sugars are pushed down too fast.
Be patient, see your doctor and keep working on diet an exercise. Learn all you can about diabetes to make sure you avoid the long term complications of this illness
