What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes?

No possiblity of fatty liver or cirrhosis here.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to XXXXXXX care magic,
Liver engymes might get elevated by unhealthy life style, poor eating habits or excessive consumption of alcohol or any liver parenchymal disease.
Elevated liver enzyme (say SGPT here) up to 170 is not so abnormal, specially if they have come to back to normal after 3 months (post weight loss workout) as stated by you.
Fatty liver very rarely can cause rise in liver engymes and also it is not a abnormal condition rather it is a fatty tissue deposition in liver just like deposition of fat on abdomen or body.
In liver cirrhosis, gross rise of liver engymes seen but in your case they have come back to normal and also was slightly elevated before 3 months which does not seem to be any clinical significant here. So,there is no need to worry and be rested.
Hope this information will help you.If any doubt then you can ask me anytime.

Fatty liver never cause liver cirrhosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow-up.
Here, I would like to say that fatty liver is not alarming finding. It indicates fatty tissue deposition on the liver like in people, who have fatty or pendulous abdomen. Therefore I wouldn't be worried about this finding.
Fatty liver never cause or very very rarely turned into liver cirrhosis. So,need not to worry and be rested.
Generally, fatty liver condition is a kind of obesity. And it is completely reversible in the initial stages specially, by following below mentioned corrective measures.
1) do regular exercise or brisk walk at least 30 minutes per day
2) Cessation of alcohol intake (if you are alcoholic)
3) Avoid junk foods and fast foods,
4) Also take low fat and high protein diet (Veg- Pulses, soya bean)
5) You should take more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Although there is no such a time limit on when to have a repeat ultrasound scan but it can be repeated after 3 months following above corrective measures to check the liver status.
Hope this detailed information will help you.
