What Causes Encephalopathy Post Recovery From Bypass Surgery?
What is your current status?Symptoms?
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
I understand your concerns and I shall offer my best help in this regard.
What I could interpret from your query is that you had the bypass surgery in 2014 and in the post-op period, you got complicated with a brain infection causing encephalopathy. Apparently, in the post operative period, you also had those violent movements of extremities.
Though, you have mentioned the details of post operative period,I was just wondering about your current clinical status? What are your symptoms at present?
Further, I need to review your MRI of brain and CSF analysis reports, which must have been done at the time of your illness. If possible, please upload them as scanned jpg documents.
I shall be glad to have you in follow-up with details.
Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
New MRI shows no brain damage or stroke.
Not likely with anaesthesia.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
You mentioned 28 days of coma and 6 weeks of memory loss, that should not be due to operative anaesthesia.
Moreover,I am just wonder how could one diagnose encephalopathy without MRI or CSF?
Please upload your discharge summary,so that I get to know the things better and make an opinion.

Dr.Ajay Panwar,
