What Causes Fatigue, Excessive Thirst, Frequent Urination And Weight Loss?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Aug 2017
Question: I almost wake up every day fatigued, but ready to go after a shower. I get up 2 to 3 times every night to urinate, but also drink plenty of water, coffee and iced tea. I just gave 12 hour fasting blood work to have me checked for Diabetes (not in my family) and high cholesterol (in my family). I was anemic as a child. and think my fatigue may be from a recurrence, as well as the increased thirst. In the past year my weight has decreased to a very healthy I think) 160 lbs. I have experienced two major depressive episodes (in my early teens through early 20's, and from 2006 to about 2008, so I am resilient. What do you think? Diabetes? I don't think so. Possibly high cholesterol, but I don't want statins. Your turn

Brief Answer:
Possibly diabetes

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but increased thirst , urination and weight loss can be symptoms of diabetes which shall be confirmed or excluded by the results of your blood test
Another cause can be due to thyroid hormonal imbalance as hyperthyroidism , which can be detected by a blood test for T3,T4 and TSH
if your cholesterol level turned out to be high and you don't want to take statins then you should cut off on your fat intake and limit it to olive oil, fish oil and nuts together with excerising for half an hour three times per week..
I hope I answered your question, if you don't have any other clarifications then please close the discussion.
