It's right at the vagina opening I can see it what is it you think
Also when I put my finger in my vagina the wall feels bumpy
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sameer Kumar (3 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
possible vaginal or cervical cancer

Detailed Answer:
hello,

well if the growth is arising from the vagina and bleeds on touch and hard mass, then it could be a vaginal cancer and if it seems to be arising from cervix then cervical cancer has to ruled out.

In either case a per speculum exam and a punch biopsy would be required for histopathology to diagnose atypia and reach a diagnosis.

Please visit your gyno soon.

doctor
Answered by Dr. Sameer Kumar (2 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
western blot test

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for the follow up

hiv/253657?iL=true" >AIDS is a symptom complex and secondary to HIV infection. It can be diagnosed by a western blot test which is highly sensitive and specific for the same. It shall confirm the hiv status ad symptoms complex would be ascertained by the doctor on examination only

The test for his was negative per doctor and rapid test done else where. If you have advanced to aids will it be incorrect?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sameer Kumar (4 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
rapid test would be but not western blot....

Detailed Answer:
thank for the follow up.

Rapid tests indicate recent infection and are not specific. Once a hiv infection it never gets negative as the CD4 levels keep decreasing if the case progresses to AIDS complex.... SO in AIDS cases along with western blot ( which is specific) , CD4 counts are also highly relevant to ascertain the viral load and indicate the stage of AIDS complex .

My doctor did a test through the lab also not rapid it showed negative but wasn't the western blot. If you had aids would it have showed up in that test?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sameer Kumar (3 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
explained

Detailed Answer:
yes , if ELISA had been done then HIV infection would have been seen if YOU HAVE been diagnosed HIV POSITIVE or seropositive earlier.....
If the present test is negative then the previous test was faulty. hence it is always better to rule out with the gold standard, the western blot.

You cannot have AIDS without HIV infection.
