Question: Hi, I am 42. I observed about 1 to 2 cm hard accumulation at the canal of my penis. It causes litle pain at the time of eration and making love. What is this and what should I do. I observed this about 3 months before. Size is increasing slowly.
Brief Answer:
It's either Smegma or a tumor.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic.
See normally there will be accumulation of semen at the base of penis , this is called as Smegma but that will be a thin layer and not 2cm thick.
I need to see what exactly it is to give you a proper advise. I advise you to upload the picture of it.
Try washing it off with water. If it is just smegma it will go off easily but if it is a growth or mass it won't.
Kindly revert back with the photo.
Regards.

Hi, I have provided some attachments. Please review them.
Brief Answer:
You need to get tested.
Detailed Answer:
HI
Went through the attachment , actually a real picture would have been better. But OK. Looking at the description given by you it doesn't seems to Smegma.
Either it is a fibrous tissue replacing the muscle ( sorry for being too medical ) or it is a growth of some unwanted tissue ( tumour ).
You need to consult an Urologist for this problem and get a test called FNAC of the accumulation.
Kindly revert back with the reports.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
