What Causes High BP With Sudden Weight Loss?

Question: My 72 year old brother, a diabetic with great numbers for one who literally lives on sweets, has a BP of 106/53. What are the harmful consequences of a BP reading like that?
P.S. He's also losing weight. His idea of fixing that is to have a hot fudge sundae every night....duh!

Brief Answer:
BP
Detailed Answer:
May I assume that he is on no BP medication?
If so then it is a reasonably good reading as long as he does not have any major heart problems and symptoms like light headedness.
However, the history of weight loss is concerning provided it is unintentional. It merits an evaluation by seeing the family physician who will likely initiate a work up for the same
I see his diabetes is well controlled from what you are saying. Many a time when the diabetes is poorly controlled, the individual tends to lose weight. But this does not seem to be the case here
